I recorded this early this morning in the parking lot of my dentist’s office. Spoiler alert: everything turned out okay there! I chat about what I’ve been sewing, what it’s like to jury a quilt show, and some book reviews. If you’ve got young listeners with you, you want to skip the book review part (no language but reference to “coming of age” stories).
Thanks for sharing about jurying a show. I didn’t know the difference between that and judging, I guess I thought it was the same thing. As I was listening today, I kept thinking, “Pam must have an amazing amount of energy, she does so much!” And, I’m not talking sewing, I’m talking everything else. Good for you!
Hope the dentist was able to sort the crown problems and you are done visiting them for awhile. Thank you for sharing the quilt show jurying information. It is one of those mysterious show things many quilters are unaware of or poorly informed about. It is also one of those things that can make a show more successful when done well. Thank you for sharing your time with both guilds.
It was very interesting to hear about what goes on behind the scenes of a quilt show. I live south of ATL and hope to go to the quilt show.
You have inspired me to get more organized and intentional about my quilting. I posted an update of my current UFOs on my blog.
