YAAAAAAY! Finally, a quilt I have made for my own bed! This is Faceted Jewels, done in batiks:
For scale, this picture is taken from my front porch, which is up a full flight of stairs since our basement is a drive-under garage. This quilt measures 108×112″. It’s slightly wider than it is longer so it’ll cover the sides of our bed the way I want.
Here’s a close-up of one of the motifs:
My friend Chris did another awesome job with the long-arming, and I’m still in love with the rich mix of colors in the batiks.
The back is a wide batik of the same fabric I used for the background on the front. Sew Batik, where I got the kit for this, has wide backings in batiks if you ever need one.
GORGEOUS!!!
Pam, your quilt is beautiful!!!
Oh my! That is stunning! What a great pattern and such amazing colour!
Love it!
You must be very proud- this gorgeous, and represents a lot of work!
GREAT job! I love it that you completed all the rings and then added a border. Looks very finished.
Stunning! Love the colors and the quilting on this one. And now, according to my friend’s husband, you are a “real” quilter! He always told her she wasn’t a real quilter until they were sleeping under a quilt she had made. Of course I dismissed that notion until I had made my own king sized quilt and realized that it is, indeed, a very special feeling.
Love those bright colors Pam! Looks fabulous!
